Stefan Struve to meet Mark Hunt

Fast-rising heavyweight Stefan Struve will face Mark Hunt on May 26 at UFC 146, the promotion announced Wednesday.

Struve, who stands 6-foot-11, will enter the bout on a two-fight win streak. The 24-year-old has a professional mixed martial arts record of 23-5.

In his most recent fight, Struve defeated Dave Herman by second-round TKO on Feb. 15.

Since being submitted in the first round by Sean McCorkle during his UFC debut on Sept. 25, 2010, Hunt has reeled off three wins in a row.

He cemented his place on the promotion's roster with a first-round TKO of Cheick Kongo on Feb. 26 at UFC 144. Hunt is 8-7 as a mixed martial artist.

The Struve-Hunt bout completes an all-heavyweight main card at UFC 146.

Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos makes the first defense of his belt in the main event against No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem.

Former UFC heavyweight champions Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez will meet for top-contender status.

Antonio Silva, a former Strikeforce heavyweight contender, is slated to face Roy Nelson. Gabriel Gonzaga and Shane del Rosario round out the main-card bouts.

UFC 146 will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
