Hector Lombard to fight Dec. 14

Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard will fight submission expert Rousimar Palhares on Dec. 14, UFC president Dana White announced Friday on Twitter.

The fight is part of UFC on FX 6, which will be held in Australia. UFC has yet to determine which city will host the event.

Lombard will making his second appearance in UFC. His debut with the promotion occurred on July 21 against Tim Boetsch. Lombard lost by split decision.

The setback ended Lombard's 25-fight win streak. He has a mixed martial arts record of 31-3-1.

In his most recent outing, on May 5, Palhares (14-4) suffered a first-round TKO to Alan Belcher. He has submitted 10 of his opponents.
