Research Notes

  • Ray Allen and Shane Battier have not shot well against the Pacers this season, especially on three-pointers. They are just a combined 1-12 this postseason on three-pointers after struggling in the regular season as well.

  • Roy Hibbert scored a postseason career-high 20 paint points in Game 2, with 5 of his 10 paint field goals as the pick-and-roll man. Hibbert finished with 14 points while rolling to the basket Friday (1.8 PPG this postseason entering Friday), including 2 field goals in the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

  • LeBron James was 10-of-14 shooting against Paul George in Game 2 with 25 points, but was unable to score against him in the final 2:43. Meanwhile, George was 6-of-7 shooting against James with 16 points Friday, and has scored more efficiently against James in the series.

  • The Heat shot 8-of-21 on drives to the basket in Game 2 with Roy Hibbert on the court, and 4-of-5 while he was on the bench. Miami has been much more efficient on drives with Hibbert off the court, scoring 28 points in 21 minutes.

  • LeBron James turned the ball over while driving into the paint with 8 seconds remaining. James has as many turnovers (4) as points scored on drives to the basket with Hibbert on the court in the series. James is 4-of-5 on drives with Hibbert off the court.

  • From Elias: Roy Hibbert: 2nd player in Pacers history with at least 29 points and 10 rebounds in a postseason game. Jermaine O'Neal did it twice-- 2002 and 2006.
