Derrick Rose pointed out earlier Tuesday that he's been healthy for the longest stretch of his career since his first knee injury in 2012. "Knock on wood, I haven't had anything. Carmelo Anthony agreed with the idea that he has a different mindset with this Knicks club than in years past. "I think we believe that we can win basketball games now. We have to put that into fruition." Anthony has said he's never played with a PG like Derrick Rose. If things go well, he should get easier shots in this offense.

Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans recently resumed on-court activity, GM Dell Demps said Tuesday, but his timetable for a return after three knee surgeries in a span of nine months remains the same. "He's been working hard," Demps said. "His body looks great. We'll have a better indication in maybe two weeks. We hope to have him back hopefully before January. Could it be late November? Maybe. Maybe early December, mid-December. It'll all [depend] on how his rehab goes over the next couple weeks."
