Rookie sprained wrist Dec. 26

MIAMI -- Miami Heat rookie guard Dwyane Wade will likely miss the entire six-game road trip that begins Friday, coach Stan Van Gundy said.

Wade was placed on the injured list last week
with a bone bruise in his right wrist.

Wade is wearing a cast and will be re-evaluated Thursday.

Wade sprained his wrist Dec. 26 and played two more games
before an MRI test revealed the bruise.

Wade has been one of the NBA's top rookies this season, averaging 16.2 points and 4.4 assists.

Players on the NBA's Injured List must sit out a minimum of five games.
