Battie, 28, was cited by Florida Highway Patrol for leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving. The Highway Patrol said the investigating officer said that no alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Battie did not attend the team's tipoff luncheon Friday but is expected to play when the Magic open their season Wednesday at home against the Indiana Pacers, the paper said.

immediately was traded to the Celtics, Perkins has averaged 2.4
points and 2.7 rebounds in 70 games over two seasons for Boston.
Perkins, who averaged 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 60 games
last season, will earn just over $1.4 million in his option year
after receiving $780,400 this season.
Jones' agent, Bill Duffy, told the paper that the Pacers' shooting guard will not get a contract extension by Monday's deadline.
Duffy says the 2002 first-round draft pick could return to the team. The Pacers will be able to match any offer made to Jones up to the midlevel exception.
Foster remains sidelined: Indiana Pacers center Jeff Foster, out with a left Achilles injury, isn't expected back in the lineup until the end of November at the earliest.
Coach Rick Carlisle told the Indianapolis Star that he would be sidelined this long and it would be at least Thanksgiving before he would be back on the court.
Scales averaged 5.6 points in seven preseason games, while Felix
averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in five games.
Both players were signed as free agents and invited to training
camp on Sept. 30.
