Howard to miss Mavs' road trip with ankle injury

DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard will miss the
team's two-game trip to Toronto and Milwaukee after injuring his
ankle in Saturday's loss to Memphis.

An MRI was scheduled for Sunday, team officials said.

Howard hurt his right ankle with 2:35 left in the Mavericks'
112-92 loss to the Grizzlies when he stepped on teammate Devin
Harris' foot. He had to be helped off the floor.

The injury came as Howard was asserting himself as a strong
frontcourt complement to star Dirk Nowitzki. Howard led the
Mavericks with 25 points and 11 rebounds in a 103-90 victory at
Miami on Friday, and he had 17 points to go with Nowitzki's 27 in
the loss to Memphis, which snapped Dallas' seven-game winning

After the Monday-Tuesday trip to Toronto and Milwaukee, the
Mavericks play Thursday at home against San Antonio.
