Sloan not disciplined for rushing midcourt

SALT LAKE CITY -- The National Basketball Association has decided not to fine or suspend Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan for
rushing to midcourt after Tuesday's victory over the Raptors and
inserting himself into referee Danny Crawford's discussion with
Toronto coach Sam Mitchell.

After the game, Sloan said he simply wanted to let Crawford know
that if the referee was going to hold a meeting with the other
team's coach he wanted to be party to it.

Sloan said Thursday that he had believed Mitchell was
complaining about him.

"I kind of got that feeling after a while," Sloan said. "If
I'm being discussed, I kind of want to be there."

Tim Frank, league communications vice president, said, "We
reviewed the matter, but we will take no further action."
