Sonics waive Palacio, second-round pick Brown

SEATTLE -- Veteran point guard Milt Palacio and rookie guard Denham Brown were waived by the Seattle SuperSonics on Thursday.

Seattle's roster currently stands at 15.

Palacio signed as a free agent just before the start of training camp but could not unseat Mike Wilks as Seattle's third point guard in four preseason games. Palacio played in 71 games for Utah last season, and played for five other teams in his career.

Brown was Seattle's second-round pick in the 2006 draft out of Connecticut. He played in two preseason games and had eight points and five rebounds.
