Wizards' Arenas sits vs. Blazers with sore left knee

WASHINGTON -- Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas missed Saturday night's 109-90 win against the Portland Trail Blazers
because of a sore left knee.

Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said the entire team participated in
a shootaround before the game. But Arenas' injury was disclosed
when the lineups were announced.

"We have just-in-case plans in place," Jordan said when asked
before the game about Arenas. "We know it's a tough deal for

Antonio Daniels started in place of Arenas, scoring 10 points while grabbing 10 boards.

Arenas played 38 minutes and had 27 points in Washington's
105-89 win over Minnesota on Friday.

Arenas, who had left knee surgery in April, has not missed a
game this season.
