Williams latest Jazz player to get hurt

Utah point guard Deron Williams will be a game-time decision for Sunday's Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers, the latest member of the Jazz to get bitten by the injury bug.

Williams, who averaged 25.8 points and 11.3 assists against the Denver Nuggets in the first round, bruised his left elbow in Utah's series-clinching 112-104 victory Friday night.

While Williams hopes to begin the second round series against the Lakers in the Jazz's starting lineup, ailing forward Andrei Kirilenko is aiming for a Game 3 return.

Kirilenko has been sidelined by a strained calf since the last month of the regular season including the entire first round and while he may be ready for Game 2, is focused on a Game 3 return when the series shifts to Utah.

With Mehmet Okur lost for the remainder of the postseason due to a ruptured left Achilles tendon, the Jazz could use Kirilenko's size and range against top-seeded Los Angeles.
