Paul Millsap sits out with bum hip

SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah forward Paul Millsap is sitting out against Atlanta because of a bruised hip and Francisco Elson is making his first start in a Jazz uniform.

The Jazz also made reserve center Mehmet Okur inactive for Wednesday night's game and said he will not make the next road trip to Memphis and Houston even though results of an MRI showed no significant differences in his lower back.

Okur was set to miss his fourth straight game with the lower back strain. He also has missed two games with an ankle sprain and started the season on the injury list while recovering from a ruptured Achilles' tendon.

Millsap has averaged 17.5 points and eight rebounds in 35 starts for the Jazz this season. Elson, an eighth-year player, is averaging 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds a game.
