Al Horford to sit out vs. Wizards

WASHINGTON -- All-Star center Al Horford will miss the Atlanta Hawks' game at the Washington Wizards due to a bruised back.

Horford had a hard fall Friday night after a flagrant foul by the Clippers' Blake Griffin, then made two free throws in the final second to give Atlanta a 101-100 victory.

Coach Larry Drew said Horford was still sore from the collision, although Horford told reporters he was "fine" before it was announced the center would be inactive for Saturday night's game.

Horford is averaging 16.2 points and 9.9 rebounds and has started all 48 games he has played this season.
