Chris Bosh to start Game 2

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Miami Heat's Chris Bosh will return to the starting lineup in Thursday's Game 2 of the NBA Finals for the first time since Game 1 of the conference semifinals.

Bosh will replace Udonis Haslem.

Bosh has come off the bench for the past four games as he worked his way back from an abdominal strain that caused him to miss nine playoff games.

During the Heat's shootaround Thursday afternoon, Bosh was wearing the red jersey reserved for starters when the session ended, indicating he was working with the first unit.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra also suggested Bosh would be going back to his normal role.

"How we use Chris might be a little bit more like how we used him during the regular season," said Spoelstra, who has changed his starting lineup five times during the playoffs.

Bosh had started every game he played as a member of the Heat until coming back from the injury in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. Bosh scored just 10 points off the bench in Game 1 and the Heat are looking to get him more involved in the offense in Game 2.

"If Coach wants to put me out there, I'm more than available," Bosh said. "I've started a bunch of games in this league. I'm ready to go."
