Kevin Garnett led the Celtics in scoring against the Pistons this season, averaging 24 points in the three games. Former Celtic Chauncey Billups led Detroit with 22.7 points per game.
The Pistons and Celtics have played 39 games against each other in the playoffs. The Celtics hold the slight edge of 20-19.
The last time these two teams met in the East finals was in 1988. The Pistons went on to their first NBA Finals appearence.
