The ESPN.com NBA Power Rankings committee (of one) is human, too.

It got swept up in the recent Linsanity just like everyone else.

For Lin's New York Knicks, that meant an eight-spot jump back to respectability in the latest edition of the rankings, shooting them up from No. 25 to No. 17.

But the most notable upward mover in Week 7 is the San Antonio Spurs, whose flying start to their annual Rodeo Road Trip -- see this week's Spurs comment for more detail -- bumped them up to a season-high No. 2.

In the face of San Antonio's hard push, Miami has relied on an impressive rout Sunday in Atlanta to cling to the No. 1 spot for the third successive week. Despite leading the league in road wins and overall victories, Chicago drops to No. 3, more because of mounting concerns about Derrick Rose's bad back than anything else that's happened on the floor.

Check back every Monday in the regular season for a fresh and fully nonautomated pulse taking of the league's 30 teams, which is compiled with Ricky Rubio-esque dishing from ESPN Stats & Information and the Elias Sports Bureau.
