Gone, just like that, is the Detroit Pistons' 70-win pace.

The consolation? This 2-2 funk in Motown hasn't cost Detroit its lofty perch in ESPN.com's weekly NBA Power Rankings.

The Pistons have managed to retain my No. 1 vote for the ninth successive edition of the rankings in spite of Saturday night's OT loss at home to a Utah team that has climbed 13 spots in two weeks. Yet their hold on the top spot is also at risk with a Thursday showdown looming in San Antonio against the No. 2 Spurs, who might have bumped the Pistons had they won their own Saturday night test, in Phoenix.
