Phoenix has risen to its rightful place in the top two. San Antonio is back up to third in the order. Detroit has reclaimed its spot in the top five.

Miami, meanwhile, has tumbled to No. 15 while awaiting word on whether Dwyane Wade will play again this season.

With Dallas underlining its status here as an automatic No. 1 by stretching its unbeaten run to 12 games -- its third win streak at least 12 games long this season -- those aforementioned developments will have to satisfy folks looking for newsy movement in the human branch of ESPN.com's NBA Power Rankings.
