The Cleveland Cavaliers' run of eight straight Mondays atop ESPN.com's weekly NBA Power Rankings is over.

The combination of the Cavs' wholly unexpected three-game losing streak and the Los Angeles Lakers' 4-1 record without the injured Kobe Bryant has vaulted L.A. back into the top spot for the first time since Week 8, although Northwest Division rivals Utah and Denver continue to apply heat to the top two.

The young upstarts from Oklahoma City, meanwhile, have reached a record-setting No. 6 with their nine-game win streak. The Thunder had never been higher than No. 19 coming into the season since leaving Seattle and haven't ranked this high as a franchise since the Sonics were sixth late in the 2004-05 season.
