Michael Beasley says he's looking forward to playing with Carmelo Anthony and believes the Knicks have enough talent to make the playoffs as a No. 5 or No. 6 seed in the East. "If Tim Hardaway Jr., Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and myself (are on the roster) – those are four guys that can score 25 points per game....I think we've got a position to be not only a playoff team but a five, six seed team if we do it right." New York has missed the playoffs for three consecutive seasons. Beasley may not get his wish to play with Anthony for long. Both Anthony and the Knicks would like to find a suitable trade partner for the veteran forward.

Jack was asked if there have been any principles of the triangle offense - which the Knicks ran last season under Phil Jackson - in Hornacek's new offense. "If there are he hasn't implemented them yet," Jack said. "So far it's a lot, (a) much more fast-paced style offense. Moving, cutting. A lot more ball movement. But from what I understand that's going to be the crux of it right now."
