The Celtics' offensive rating with Kyrie Irving on the floor: a robust 108.1. When he's off? A meager 97.5. Irving said Saturday that his shoulder is feeling good enough to return to game action and hopes he can give Boston's slumping offense a lift.

About as good as it gets for the Thunder in the first quarter in Cleveland. Westbrook was dynamic scoring and creating (7 assists), while George, Anthony and Patterson all knocked down clean looks. When OKC plays with pace in their offensive sets, they often get good looks, and tempo was cranked up in the opening 12 minutes.

Dave McMenamin ESPN Staff Writer

The 43 points the Oklahoma City Thunder scored in the first quarter on Saturday was the most points the Cleveland Cavaliers have allowed in any quarter this season.

I think Kemba Walker would be a fantastic addition for the Knicks (and many other teams) but Charlotte appears eager to shed an additional contract in a Walker deal, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. I'd be wary of taking back an additional long-term contract in any trade if I'm the Knicks.

LeBron James is 25 points shy of 30,000 for his career. Currently ranked 7th among the NBA's all-time scoring leaders, LeBron trails Dirk Nowitzki by 33 points for 6th place. Cavaliers/Thunder tip-off in 75 minutes.

Lonzo Ball (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Knicks. Brandon Ingram (ankle) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Achilles) are questionable to play.

Celtics signed G-Leaguer Jarell Eddie to a 10-day contract on Saturday to add some depth while the team battles injuries and illness. What can Eddie add? "They're a great team, just try to add my shooting and my floor-spacing abilities," said Eddie. "Just give them another part that helps win." Said Brad Stevens: "We've always thought very highly of him from afar and look forward to having him around."

Kyrie Irving is hoping a new All-Star format adds some competitiveness to this year's game. "Hopefully this new format gives that competitive drive because I know some people want to see some matchups … everyone's hope of who they want to see go against one another. So I'm pretty sure … we'll put on a show, especially better than it was last year."

Thunder coach Billy Donovan on the challenges of playing LeBron James: "I have always felt the best part of his game is when he passes the ball. He is as good as it gets in manipulating defenses."

After Friday night's 2-for-25 performance from beyond the arc in Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Indiana Pacers are now 9-for-51 from three point land over their last two games. Pacers guard Victor Oladipo doesn't sound concerned about his team's recent shooting woes. "It just didn't go in," Oladipo said. "We were getting open looks too and they weren't going. It's just one of them two couple days, back to back nights. Getting open looks, they weren't going in. It's part of the game. It's part of the NBA. A bunch of teams have [those nights]. We just got to continue to keep getting better."

ESPN Stats and Information

The Lakers shot 2-14 on free throws Friday, the lowest FT pct (14.3%) by any team in a game in NBA history with at least 10 attempts (ELIAS). Shaq only had 1 worse game in his Lakers career with at least 10 attempts (0-11 FT on Dec. 8, 2000)

Important win for the Knicks on the road in Utah. Tim Hardaway Jr. led NYK with 31 points, knocking down 6 of 7 3-point attempts in a game the Knicks nearly gave away. New York needed this win after losing 11 of its last 14 and coming off of a bad loss in Memphis on Wednesday.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Darren Collison and Lance Stephenson combined to shoot 2-for-21 overall. The Pacers missed 23-of-25 3-point attempts tonight.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Doesn't get much worse than this for Jeff Hornacek: Knicks give up an offensive rebound off of a missed free throw and then foul a 3-point shooter. NYK was up 10 with two minutes to go and is up just four with 1:40 play.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

The Lakers' free-throw woes continue. They made just 2-of-14 (14.3%) free throws tonight. The franchise's previous record low for free-throw percentage made was .278 and the two free throws made matches the team record for lowest amount of foul shots made.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Jordan Clarkson carried the Lakers to a 99-86 win over the Pacers with 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. He made 14-of-19 from the field and finished two points shy of matching his career high.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Interesting to see Jeff Hornacek go to Trey Burke instead of Frank Ntilikina early in the fourth.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Jordan Clarkson has been feeling it all night. He has 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and converted a 4-point play with a 3 and the foul.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Jordan Clarkson is holding his right hand but appears to be OK.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Jeff Hornacek has talked often about an opponent eating into a Knicks lead with strong 3-point shooting. Tim Hardaway Jr. just did the same thing for Hornacek's team, knocking down two threes late in the third to give NYK a 7-point lead heading into the 4th.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Knicks lead guards haven't been able to stay in front of Ricky Rubio often tonight. He just created two easy buckets for the Jazz midway through the third and Jeff Hornacek isn't happy about it.
