The LeBron James workout summit in Las Vegas started today at UNLV. Among the participants were MVP Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul, Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe and the newest member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Derrick Rose. Cavs assistant coach Damon Jones is running the minicamp which a source described as "intense" and "productive" so far. Cavs development coaches Mike Gerrity and Dan Geriot are also on hand.

I thought Jabari Parker gave a great answer while discussing the growth he's felt on and off the floor throughout his time in Chicago. "I didn't know I was like five years removed from AAU, so to think about that is surreal itself," Parker said on Thursday, while promoting the Jordan Brand's RE2PECT campaign. "But I always make sure I keep it here in Chicago. I always come back, make sure that I go back to the things that made me successful. And that's being around my friends, my family, going back to my old high school gym [at Simeon]. I'm low maintenance. I don't have a membership at East Bank Club. I go to 81st and Vincennes to work out, that's where my high school is."
