Also, Knicks rookie Willy Hernangomez bacatipned with Rubio, a friend of his, over the All-Star break.

Discussions surrounding a potential trade of Derrick Rose continued between the Knicks and the Timberwolves on Wednesday, according to a source. It is unclear what, specifically, Minnesota would offer the Knicks in a potential swap for Rose. Although according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Timberwolves are motivated to move Ricky Rubio because team president and coach Tom Thibodeau sees rookie Kris Dunn as the franchise's point guard of the future.

Adding Bojan Bogdanovic from the Nets could bolster the Wizards' bench. The Wizards average 23.4 points per game from bench players, second-fewest in the NBA to the Timberwolves' 22.1.

James Harden said he was pleased his agent Rob Pelinka will become the GM of the Lakers. Harden didn't say what he'll do in regards of finding a new agent. "I'm happy for him," Harden said. "I told him he's worked extremely hard and if he got an opportunity to be a GM with the Los Angeles Lakers, take it. I'll figure out what I do next. It's an opportunity of a lifetime and I'm happy for him." Pelinka also represented Rockets teammates Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon.
