Brad Stevens, an Indianapolis native who grew up a fan of the Pacers and sometimes crossed paths with team brass while coaching at Butler University, on Larry Bird stepping down: "I've obviously admired [Bird] since he played for the Celtics and I thought that he did a tremendous job as a coach and front office person in Indiana. When I was there, the runs they went on for all the years he was there was really impressive. So whatever he chooses to do and look forward to, we certainly all wish him the best."

Brad Stevens knows the Bulls will not go quietly. "We've talked [since Game 5] how we need to play our best game yet. We know it's going to be really hard. We know that there's a lot of good players over there, that we were lucky to win, I thought, Game 5. But we know how hard it's going to be. So our guys are focused on trying to do their best to play well."

If the Boston Celtics do not have a game on Sunday — either Game 7 versus the Bulls or Game 1 of an Eastern Conference semifinal series — Avery Bradley is hoping to join the Celtics contingent that will accompany Isaiah Thomas to Tacoma for his sister's funeral on Saturday. Said Bradley: "If I'm not able to be there, I'm still going to make sure I'm supporting him however I can to let him know that I'm here for him for this time."

My 15 yr old son was aghast at how poorly the Raptors played the fourth quarter on offense. Luckily the Cavs are worse defensively.

It's been a tale of two series for Jimmy Butler, who has cooled off after helping the Bulls take an early 2-0 series lead over the Celtics. He's been dealing with soreness in his left knee but is expected to play in Game 6.

What's up with Isaiah Thomas' playoff shooting? His 3-point shooting has dipped significantly this postseason, and it's become a common theme with the 5-foot-9 point guard.
