Russell Westbrook leads the NBA in points scored (1,771). That's the most points scored for any player at the All-Star break since Nate "Tiny" Archibald scored 1,810 points before the break in 1972-73.

Another team to keep an eye on in pursuit of Denver forward Wilson Chandler: Houston, league sources tell ESPN.

The return that the Kings got for DeMarcus Cousins (2017 first-round pick, 2017 second-round pick, Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway) should give the Knicks an indication of what they could expect back in a Carmelo Anthony trade. Every situation is different, but Anthony would bring back less in a potential trade than Boogie did, you'd think. Further complicating matters for the Knicks is the fact that Anthony has a no-trade clause.

Just a thought when pondering the Pelicans' spacing with Boogie: Cousins makes 1.7 3P per game this season. Kevin Durant: 1.9

Couple of NBA guys I spoke to, however, were surprised at how little Sacramento wound up getting for DeMarcus Cousins. Issue was GM's ultimately scared to make huge financial commitment with him. That obviously included the Kings.

One NBA GM to ESPN on the Boogie Cousins trade: "It was bad deal. Now New Orleans will pay him close to 200 million. Sacramento just did not want to pay him. Only Vivek wanted him. New Orleans was desperate -- and Sacramento is free!"
