Lakers starting point guard D'Angelo Russell, who has missed nine games with a sore left knee, was re-evaluated Tuesday by Lakers' medical staffers. Lakers coach Luke Walton said Russell "feels much better" and the Lakers plan to start working him out on the court soon. Russell is out for Wednesday's game against Houston, but is it possible that he could return to action later this week? Walton: "Yeah, he's just got to practice first. Obviously, we're not going to rush him right into a game, but if we can get [him] out there and he practices and can get one or two practices in and feels fine the next day, I wouldn't see why he wouldn't be able to play. But that all depends on how he does in those practices."
