NBA trade thoughts. (Nowhere else to use this)... It's fairly slow still. Bunch of factors. New market. 4 teams for 8th in West. East depth

Teams like the Boston Celtics have gone all out on social media trying to get fans to vote for their players in this year's All-Star game. But one of Avery Bradley's college buddies took it to a new extreme. Nate Paul, a businessman in Austin, Texas, bought a digital billboard near the University of Texas encouraging fans to vote for Bradley — a UT product — for the All-Star game. Bradley lives in Austin and has been getting texts from friends and family about it. Said Bradley: "It's really neat. I thought it was cool that somebody showing that support. I live in Austin and going to UT, all the guys there, they support me. So I thought it was pretty cool." (photo: Twitter/@JOEYxFRESCO)

Humorous Steve Kerr story on MLK day: "I think about this story every year. My son was five years old. A couple days before MLK day, he came home from school, had this really sad look on his face. I said ‘What's the matter, buddy?' He said, ‘Well, Monday is Martin Luther King's birthday, and I didn't get an invitation.'"

Steph Curry's warmup has become something of a tourist attraction at Oracle. Most people get there for the shooting portion and miss his dribbling exhibition.

The Pelicans can't capitalize on a bevy of missed free throws by the Pacers down the stretch and fall 98-95 to finish their five-game road swing 2-3. Anthony Davis (right hip, left thumb) did not return after a hard fall in the third quarter.

Two hours to tip between the Cavs and Warriors at Oracle Arena. For the next week I'll be on the road with Golden State as they play the Cavs, Thunder and Rockets. The idea is to bring you insight, more than access.
