A few days before his father was indicted by the Turkish government, Enes Kanter hosted the Enes Kanter Camp organized by NYC Basketball Kids and Playbook in New York City over the weekend. He took a few minutes to answer some questions from ESPN.com. Here, Kanter talks about his conversations with injured Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis: "Bill was like you have a problem in Turkey right now, we won't send you to Turkey. But maybe in the future, you can be the president of Turkey," Kanter said. "He actually watches the Knicks. He said, ‘I watch you – you play hard.' I said, ‘Hey, I appreciate that.'"

He took a few minutes to answer some questions from ESPN.com. Here, Kanter talks about meeting with state senates in New York to discuss his stance against the Turkish government, among other issues: "Whenever I go there I talk to the (senior most lawmaker). He asks me questions. I explain to him what's going on in Turkey and then I go around, take picturs with the senators. Hang out with them." In addition to New York, Kanter has also been invited to state senates in New Mexico and Pennsylvania.

Trae Young was asked on SiriusXM NBA Radio about meeting David Fizdale and the Knicks during his workout. "I definitely was very energized meeting him as well. It was great getting to meet coach Fizdale and go out to dinner and meet the whole front office. Really got a good feel and vibe for the whole organization. They're very interested in me as well but you never know what's going to happen on Thursday night."
