Cs gave up a lot, obviously now counting big on Tatum/Brown next season. But this is why you get that extra pick in the Fultz deal.

Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek was at a gym in Manhattan this week to watch a pickup game featuring Carmelo Anthony and other NBA players, per league sources. It's unclear if Hornacek was there to watch/support Anthony or to watch other players in the game but his presence is worth noting given the current situation between the Knicks and Anthony. The club would like to trade Anthony and Anthony would like to be moved but NYK hasn't found a suitable deal yet. Anthony has been working out with trainer Chris Brickley at the Lifetime Fitness gym in Manhattan this summer and playing pickup with several NBA players, including LeBron James and Kevin Durant, at the gym.

6/ Also, the anti-Ainge crew needs to look in the mirror. He got Horford, Hayward and Kryie in less than two seasons. That's absurd.

4/ Good depth now, whatever the BRK pick ends up being, but to say this decides what LeBron is doing is a guess.

2/ This also solves the "what do you pay Isaiah?" problem. And the Celtics didn't have to give up Tatum or Brown.

Boston's believed rest + rehab would return Isaiah Thomas' hip to full recovery. Cavs plan to monitor closely, anxious to give him physical.

Chris Forsberg ESPN Staff Writer

Astoundingly, only four of the 15 players from last year's Celtics team that made the Eastern Conference finals remain in Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Terry Rozier. Since the end of the season, the Celtics have traded Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and Avery Bradley, and bid farewell to key contributors in Amir Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, Gerald Green, and Jonas Jerebko.
