The Wizards had their way inside the paint, getting off the majority of their early shots inside cleanly. They made an effort to move the ball and probe inside first on several possessions, outscoring Boston 14-2 in points in the paint to start the game with a 22-5 run.

Marcin Gortat has his finger prints all over the Wizards' 9-0 start to the game. He scored the first basket inside, grabbed an offensive rebound, delivered a screen that freed Bradley Beal for a 3-pointer and then delivered a give-and-go assist to Beal for a layup. Gortat may feel a lot more comfortable this series going against Al Horford than the physical and bigger Dwight Howard.
