Despite the first quarter struggles and the physical play, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said he'll stick with Clint Capela at center and continue to bring Nene off the bench. The Rockets averaged a 30.4 points per game in the first quarter during the regular season but have slipped to a 25 points per game average during the four playoff games. "Nene can only play so many minutes so Clint has to be able to take the rest of those minutes," D'Antoni said. "We can use Ryan (Anderson) some at the five and give them a different look. It's a great learning experience for Clint there's no way he's going to come from playing four or five minutes a game to trying to lead the team to the next round. He's learning and he's been up and down a little bit. I expect him to improve and we have confidence in him."

After Jimmy Butler questioned his toughness, Marcus Smart fired back on Tuesday: "I ain't gotta talk about what I am about. I could show you, but I'm not going to tell you. So, like I said, it ain't hard to find me. And you heard him, he said, ‘I don't think Marcus Smart's about that life?' Last time I checked, if you're going to say somebody ain't about that life, you should know, right?"

The Pelicans' search for a D-League home is down to six: Baton Rouge, St. Tammany Parish, Shreveport (La.); Jackson (Miss.); Mobile (Ala.). "We are excited to the see the excitement which this process has generated among the six locations," owner Tom Benson said in a statement. "All of them have stepped forward with legitimate and sincere interest and are going to make a case via their proposals for why they would like to be the home of our NBA G League team in 2018-2019. The process is underway and we know that this will be a very significant addition for a city/parish near us as it will add global exposure and bring professional basketball to their town."
