The fans are already headed for the exits with 6:41 left t play and the Spurs trailing by 17. Teams that fall behind 3-0 in a best-of-7 series are 0-127 in the playoffs. And that 0-127 is series record, per @ESPNStatsInfo. So while I know the diehards hope for the best with these San Antonio Spurs, it's time to face the reality soon coming your way. The undermanned Spurs fought valiantly against a superior team in the face of difficult circumstances. But this one game, this series, wasn't meant to be.

Golden State up 94-77 midway in the fourth and Spurs' fans are headed for the exits. The Warriors are on the verge of taking a commanding 3-0 series lead.

And this one is officially over in New Orleans (though it has felt that way for the last quarter and a half). Pelicans 119, Trail Blazers 102. And now the Pelicans have a chance to sweep the series at home on Saturday. According to ESPN Stats and Information, the sixth-seeded Pelicans would become just the third higher-seeded team to sweep an opening playoff series since the NBA switched to its best-of-seven format in 2002-2003. (The others were the Bulls over the Heat in 2007 and the Wizards over the Raptors in 2015.)

Anthony Davis leaves the floor to thunderous roars from the crowd and some "M-V-P" chants with just under seven minutes remaining in the Pelicans' rout of the Trail Blazers. Davis finished the game with 28 points and 11 rebounds -- and the Pelicans are about to go up 3-0 in the series.

Anthony Davis scared an entire metropolis there as he took a hard fall and clutched his right rib. Davis got to his feet and converted a pair of free throws. He is fine.

A chant of "Boo-gie! Boo-gie" broke out in the Smoothie King Center when they showed the Pelicans' DeMarcus Cousins on the big screen. Cousins returned to New Orleans on Thursday for the first time since he tore his Achilles in January and has been sitting courtside for Game 3 against the Trail Blazers (he has been rehabbing in Los Angeles and was restricted from traveling until this week). The home crowd is also enjoying another dynamic performance from the Pelicans, who took a 90-65 lead late into the third quarter as they try to go up 3-0 in the series.

Joel Embiid said he was "pi—ed" about Goran Dragic taking a layup at the end of the Heat's blowout win in Game 2. He was happy to see Dario Saric go for a layup at the end of Game 3. "We're not here to make friends."

Just when they were buried in a 25 point hole, Portland blazes its way to 10 points in 64 seconds. Gentry forced to use another time out. 75-60 Pels with 5:15 to play in the 3rd.

Joel Embiid says he's not sure how long he'll have to wear the mask but he thinks it could be about 8 weeks, which is the amount of time the orbital bone fracture will take to fully heal.

Joel Embiid: "I feel like I'm the best defensive player in the league."

The Spurs may not be on the way to their sixth NBA title, but they're certainly recognizing the Austin Spurs for their G League championship. Derrick White is inactive tonight, but starred on that Austin squad.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Joel Embiid on playing his first playoff game: "I've been here, went through everything .. to be able to be in this position, I'm really happy for coach (Brett Brown). We finally have a team."

On Justise Winslow stepping on his goggles, Joel Embiid said he has about ‘50' pairs and it's going to take more than that from the Heat to get him out of the series.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Joel Embiid said it was ‘annoying' to wear the mask but was happy with how he played. "I'm going to be a nightmare for them," he said of the Heat.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Asked about stepping on Joel Embiid's goggles, Justise Winslow said he was talking trash with Embiid all night and says there is ‘no love lost' between the two. Sounds like they were having fun with eachother.

Blazers come out of the locker room with the kind of desperation that will be needed to save their season. Jusuf Nurkic was active and energized. Maurice Harkless canned a wide open 3 on a dish from Nurkic after he snagged an offensive rebound. Alvin Gentry uses an early time out to settle the troops. Looks like that worked. Pelicans got two quick hoops to restore an 18 point advantage.

This is about the loudest I've seen the AT&T Center this season. And outside of Gregg Popovich not being here to coach his team, everything else seems pretty normal, which is exactly what he wanted with the Spurs down 2-0 in this series to the Golden State Warriors. Veteran Tony Parker actually leads the Spurs in scoring with 10 points in just 8 minutes on the floor. Kevin Durant leads the Warriors with 10 points.

Chris Haynes ESPN Staff Writer

Spurs fan base is rowdy, feeding off the team's defense. Golden State has yet to knock down a triple (0-8). San Antonio leads 35-32 with 6:49 left in the second quarter.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Hassan Whiteside had five points, two rebounds and four fouls in 13 minutes in Game 3. He had just two points in Game 1 and four points in Game 2. Erik Spoelstra says it's on him to get Whiteside going.
