San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and former NBA player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf met for over an hour in Berkeley, Calif., on Friday, a source told The Undefeated. Among the topics they spoke about was their protests, how they believe they've been misunderstood and the difference between Kaepernick having social media now versus Abdul-Rauf wishing he had it 20 years ago. Abdul-Rauf, 47, protested the national anthem while playing for the Denver Nuggets in 1996 and was suspended one game by the NBA.

Jeff Hornacek says forward Maurice Ndour has done a nice job helping on defense and finishing around the basket: "He's that guy that provides activity. I really like the way he moves without the ball, cuts to the basket. He rolls and catches. That's really what we want with him."

Jeff Hornacek says he doesn't want the Knicks to shy away from mid-range shots – as long as they are quality attempts: "We have shooters who, if they get an open 16, 18-foot look, they'll shoot 60 percent. It's just the fact that I think a lot of guys take bad mid-range shots."

The second-year guard, who many thought the Celtics reached for at No. 16 in the 2015 draft, looked poised, confident, and ready to elevate to a rotation role this season.
