Alvin Gentry said the Pelicans' recent struggles sting more than their 0-8 start to the season because the team felt like it was going in a positive direction with the return of Jrue Holiday and because of their dwindling playoff chances. Gentry said Anthony Davis was "very vocal" in team video sessions this morning. Davis did not speak to media today after practice despite requests.

He followed a career-high 22-point, 11-rebound outing in Tuesday's win over the Suns by putting up 20 and 17 in Thursday's loss to the Warriors. Gobert, 24, has career-best numbers across the board: points (11.6 per game), rebounds (11.3), blocks (2.7), field goal percentage (66.4) and free throw percentage (66.4).
