For all the talk about rest & devaluing regular season, something incredible happens in NBA every night. Never been more entertaining.

What we leaned tonight is that the Kristaps Porzingis will likely be the focal point of the Knick offense for the rest of the season and that the triangle offense isn't going anywhere.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Kristaps Porzingis just dunked on a drive past Rudy Gobert but the Jazz center got the best of Porzingis and the Knicks tonight. Gobert had 35 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. Porzingis had 24 points and 7 rebounds.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

The Knicks will fall to 27-44 after tonight's loss to Utah. They remain tied with Sacramento for the 6th worst record in the NBA, which is the only thing that really matters the rest of the way for this Knicks team.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

The Knicks say that Derrick Rose is questionable to return due to a sore right ankle. ?It initially seemed like Rose tweaked his knee, so this is probably welcome news for the soon-to-be free agent.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

The Knicks are up 39-31 on Utah in the second quarter. I'm not sure who is more upset: Jazz coach Quin Snyder or Knicks fans.

Dave McMenamin ESPN Staff Writer

The Cavs lose 126-113 to Denver, allowing the Nuggets to shoot 53.1 pct from the field and 42.3 pct from 3. Kyrie Irving 33p 3a; LeBron James 18p 6r 5a; Deron Williams 19p on 8-for-10; Kevin Love 9p 7r; Kyle Korver & J.R. Smith combine for 12p on 4-for-16 shooting. Denver has five players make 8 FGs led by Nikola Jokic's 16p 10r 7a.

ESPN's Jeff Van Gundy on the Knicks: "There's a lot of roster things that they have to work out. But they have to do whatever they can to highlight Porzingis' greatest skills."

ESPN Stats and Information

Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double tonight while going 6-for-6 on field goals and 6-for-6 on free throws. Per Elias Sports Bureau, Westbrook is the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double while perfect from the floor and free-throw line.

Ian Begley ESPN Staff Writer

Jeff Van Gundy was reminded on the ESPN broadcast of Knicks-Jazz that Carmelo Anthony has had five head coaches in seven years in New York. "Continuity and stability are so critical to a team's development," Van Gundy said. Continuity and stability have been lacking in New York for some time.

... Dr. Barnes had no idea about NBA player Matt Barnes' Snap of himself drinking Hennessy in 76ers lockerroom with Boogie in Dec... 2/3

Royce Young ESPN Staff Writer

Per Elias, Russell Westbrook is the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double going perfect from the floor and the free throw line. He finished with 18-11-14 in 27 minutes for his 35th triple-double of the season.

There is some history of defending champs being bad on D following year, turning it on in playoffs ('01 Lakers most famous example).
