Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley had the 10th highest voting total but missed out on a spot on the NBA's two All-Defense teams. Bradley, a first-teamer last season, didn't land one of the four available guard spots this year. Missing 27 games likely hurt Bradley's voting total.

Michael C. Wright ESPN Staff Writer

The NBA announced Monday that Kawhi Leonard has been named to the NBA's All-Defensive First Team for the third consecutive season, and Danny Green was selected to the NBA's All-Defensive Second Team. The only Spur to ever win multiple Defensive Player of the Year awards, Leonard is the first San Antonio player to be named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in three straight seasons since Bruce Bowen earned five straight selections.

Royce Young ESPN Staff Writer

Andre Roberson has been named second team All-Defense. He had a first team caliber year, but logistics of positions in voting made it tough to make it. Roberson was listed at forward, alongside Draymond Green and Kawhi Leonard.

Correcting an earlier post: Willy Hernangomez is the 5th Knick since the 2010-11 season to be named to the All-Rookie first team. Landry Fields, Iman Shumpert, Tim Haradaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis were the others. Channing Frye was named to the All-Rookie first team in 2006.

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Yogi Ferrell was a second-team All-Rookie selection despite going undrafted and not joining the Mavs until a midseason D-League promotion.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Philadelphia's Joel Embiid and Dario Saric, Milwaukee's Malcolm Brogdon, Sacramento's Buddy Hield and New York's Willy Hernangomez are first-team All-Rookie. Saric and Brogdon were unanimous first-team.

Chris Forsberg ESPN Staff Writer

Despite a role that was limited at times, Boston rookie Jaylen Brown landed on the All-Rookie second team. Brown's minutes were inconsistent at times as Boston won the most regular-season games in the East but he emerged as a steady playoff presence in his first season.

Knicks' Willy Hernangomez named to NBA's All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announces.

Avery Bradley on possible changes in Boston this summer: "I do know [the Celtics' front office is] going to make the best decisions for our team." Said he'll offer suggestions if asked but tries to stay out of the way.

On being able to fit with Jeremy Lin, D'Angelo Russell said, "He's established in this league and I am working to get there. I know I will learn from him and vice-versa, whatever I can teach him would be great too. I just want to compete, it starts with practice, us pushing each other will lead to the games and make it easier."

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

D'Angelo Russell did his best to try to move forward but said that he sees trade to Brooklyn as a "celebration." "I am going to take advantage of it to the fullest," Russell said. "And that's me being the leader right away. I am looking forward to the challenge. You saying my leadership is being questioned, this is an opportunity to make the best out of it."

League sources say Minnesota, in the wake of the Jimmy Butler deal, remains intent on trading Ricky Rubio as it searches for more shooting.

Not a huge surprise here, but big man Marshall Plumlee will play for the Knicks in Summer League, per sources. Plumlee was signed as an undrafted free agent last season and many in the organization are high on him due in part to his potential, his energy and his professional approach. So it's not surprising that the club would like to continue to develop him. If Plumlee is under contract o. June 30, as expected, $100,000 of his deal for next season kicks in. His full contract becomes guaranteed if he's on the roster in late October.
