Charles Oakley told Knicks draft pick Frank Ntilikina that he has a bright future when he met him at All Star weekend. This morning, he posted a picture with Dennis Smith Jr., the player NYK passed on in the draft, and said he would have been a great Knick. The guess here is that Oakley, who has a pending civil suit against owner James Dolan and Madison Square Garden, wants to get a rise out of Knicks or the organization.

If Joakim Noah and the Knicks want to move on from one another (I'm almost certain they do), a key date to watch is March 1. That's the last date Noah can be waived and eligible for the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if either side comes off its negotiating stance. NYK doesn't want to waive Noah without the center giving up money in a buyout; as of last week, Noah didn't want to give up any money in a buyout scenario. He's owed $37.8 million over the next two seasons plus a portion of this season's $17.7 million).
