Penn State guard Tony Carr worked out for the Knicks earlier this week, per ESPN sources. VCU guard Jonathan Williams was also among the players to work out for the Knicks on Tuesday, per sources. The Knicks have the 36th pick in the second round.

The trade for Charlotte is luxury tax related. The Hornets prior to the trade would have been a tax team for 2018-19 and now have a $13M cushion. The tradeoff is that Charlotte inherits the Timofey Mozgov $16.7M contract for 2019-20.

With the Dwight Howard trade, only Allen Crabbe will have a guaranteed contract for the Nets in 2019-20. The Nets could potentially have up to $60M+ in room next summer but will be contingent on the restricted free agency of D'Angelo Russell and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

The Knicks are scheduled to play a game in London against the Wizards on Jan. 17, a league source confirmed.

Aaron Holiday, Ray Spalding and Donte Ingram were among the players who worked out for the Knicks on Tuesday, per sources. Holiday, out of UCLA, is one of the top point guards in the draft. Ingram, from Loyola, has impressed teams in workouts and is seen by some of those teams as a potential second-round pick. Spalding, a 6-10 big, averaged 12.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game last season at Louisville. The Knicks have the 9th and 36th picks in Thursday's draft.

Texas A & M's Robert Williams had a second visit with the Clippers on Tuesday, league sources tell ESPN. This one included a conversation with owner Steve Ballmer. Clippers have done significant examination on Williams for picks at Nos. 12 and 13.
