Brutal loss for the Knicks tonight. They were up 17 in the 1st quarter but were outscored by 29 in the final three quarters. They lost to an Atlanta team that had lost 15 of 17 and fell to 1-5 on the road. If nothing else, this game showed the value of Enes Kanter, who was out with back spasms.

Wow. The Knicks, minus Enes Kanter, have let go of a 15-point lead to the Hawks, who had lost 15 of their last 17 entering tonight. New York is down 5 with 2:30 to go in the third. If the Knicks don't come back, it will be another example of their struggles away from home. They are 1-4 on the road thus far this season.

Willy Hernangomez has been a bit out of rhythm on defense, which is understandable. He's in the rotation for the first time in weeks and has four fouls in 8 minutes.

Russell Westbrook is back at it again with an explosive first half, putting up 16-4-8 as OKC leads Detroit 59-49 at half. Carmelo Anthony has 15 and 6 and Steven Adams is outplaying Andre Drummond. Paul George has only two points as three early fouls has limited him to just nine minutes. It was another impressive opening 24 minutes, but like the game against the Warriors, can they put together another 24?

In place of Warriors forwards Kevin Durant (sprained ankle) and Draymond Green (rest), the Warriors will start forwards Omri Casspi and Jordan Bell.

Steve Kerr has been pulling out props to use while reporters tweet out nuggets about the lineup from his pre-game news conferences. First, the Warriors coach trimmed his fingernails with a set of nail clippers, then, on another day, he played with a Slinky, and today he shuffled a deck of cards. "As soon as you're done tweeting, we'll resume," Kerr joked to reporters. "Just practicing my shuffling."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said forward Draymond Green is sitting out to rest against the Bulls as part of a plan the two agreed upon before the season. "It's something I'm going to do periodically during the year," Kerr said. "Last year, during the Finals, I thought there were games where Draymond was -- [they] were almost piecing him together. Because of how hard he plays, because of the nature of his game, I think we need to give him a rest once in a while." Kerr added that the team's success in the past three years helped convince Green that it was the right move. "Even though he doesn't love it, he agrees that it's a good idea," Kerr said.

The Thunder prefer to keep one star on the floor at all times, but with Paul George picking up an early third foul in the second quarter, Billy Donovan has had to go with a full bench unit. And they've done well, outscoring the Pistons by five over the last three minutes.

Courtney Lee had a str by second half against Toronto, which seems to have carried over to tonight. He has 19 in the first half and has made 8 of 9 shots. Knicks are only up 8 against the Hawks, due in part to 11 first-half turnovers.

One hallmark of Boston's winning streak: Slow starts. Brad Stevens said his team needed to start better and his players responded with a 40-point first-quarter against the Magic. That's Boston's best output in a quarter this season.

Knicks have hit 14 of their first 19 shots against Atlanta, which is the worst team in the NBA based on winning percentage. Courtney Lee has hit all of his first 5 shots.

Classy move by the Hawks, who offered a tribute to ex-Hawk Tim Hardaway Jr. Hardaway Jr. developed all facets of his game in Atlanta before signing a $71 million offer sheet with New York as a restricted free agent.

Knicks have a big void tonight without Enes Kanter, who is 4th in the league in offensive rebounds per game (3.7) and commanded significant attention from opposing front lines. He's also 5th among centers in effective field goal percentage, per NBA.com.

On Black Friday, the Celtics are debuting their black Nike statement jerseys vs. the Magic. Coach Brad Stevens is unmoved. "I don't really pay attention to our uniform colors unless we're throwing it to the wrong team over and over," said Stevens.

Chris Forsberg ESPN Staff Writer

Marcus Morris, who has been easing his way back in due to knee soreness that sidelined him at the start of the season, is starting vs. the Magic. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said it's likely Morris sits out on Saturday vs. the Pacers but said the team will reevaluate his status after tonight's game.

With Enes Kanter out due to back spasms, Willy Hernangomez will likely get significant minutes against Atlanta. Joakim Noah might have been active for the first time this season, but he's not with the team due to illness.

Enes Kanter will not play tonight due to back spasms, the Knicks announce.

Nigel Hayes, Trey Burke and Luke Kornet combined for 76 points in the Westchester Knicks' win over Greensboro. Hayes also had 7 rebounds and 5 assists; Kornet had 5 blocks; Burke had 6 assists and 3 steals.
