Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said there is no timetable on how long Ryan Anderson will be out with his right ankle sprain. D'Antoni said Anderson is definitely out for Sunday's game against the Thunder and maybe Tuesday against the Warriors. "Just make sure he's healthy and we'll be cautious getting him back to make sure he's 100 percent," D'Antoni said.

When the Rockets face the Thunder on Sunday, guard Patrick Beverley will be assigned to defend Russell Westbrook. In three meetings, Westbrook has averaged 35.3 points. "Of course Mr. Triple-Double is coming in here," said Beverley of Westbrook who has recorded one triple-double against Houston this season. "We got to try and contain him, it won't be one-on-one action, it has to be more of a team effort, can't one player can't stop him, other than that it's the biggest game of the season, which is the next game which is OKC so that's our focus."

Rockets forward Ryan Anderson will not play in Sunday's game against the Thunder with a right ankle sprain. This will be the fifth game Anderson has missed this season due to injury. Last year, Anderson missed 16 games to health reasons when he played with New Orleans.

The Joakim Noah 20-game suspension likely gives Willy Hernangomez a chance to start the season at center for the Knicks. Hernangomez, a rookie, has played well offensively for New York this season but has struggled at times on defense. The Knicks could also choose to play a smaller lineup with Kristaps Porzingis at center.
