Basketball season is not over yet. Say hello to the BIG3, a new league started by Ice Cube that features former NBA players. Eight 3-on-3 teams play once a week in a different city leading up to the Aug. 26 championship in Las Vegas. Play begins this afternoon in Brooklyn.

Pittsburgh's Jamel Artis has agreed to a partially-guaranteed deal with the Knicks, according to his agent Daniel Hazan. Artis will join the club in summer league and will be with the team in training camp in the fall where he will have a chance to earn a roster spot. Artis, 6-7, exhibited a strong shooting touch from distance in his last season at Pittsburgh. He also scored 43 points in a game against Louisville last season. Nigel Hayes and Luke Kornet also have training camp deals. Canyon Barry will play with the Knicks' Summer League team with a chance to earn a training camp spot.
