Valentine believes that now that the Bulls aired out their differences, and the trade deadline has passed, they are in a much better place as a group. "I think it's a lot of unnecessary stuff that we got out of the way," he said. "All the trade rumors and all that stuff. It may not have a big effect, but it kind of does on people. And all that's done. We're cool with who we have, and we're just competing and playing."

Denzel Valentine, on the big team meeting the Bulls had in the wake of the Wade/Butler/Rondo comments: "It needed to happen," Valentine said after Tuesday's shootaround. "Every team goes through adversity, but everybody knew about our adversity. There's a lot of teams that, that kind of stuff happens but you don't know about it because it's behind closed doors. Ours was just out there so everybody knew about it. But that stuff happens all the time with teams, even around Michigan State, when we were successful, the same stuff happened. That needed to happen. Guys needed to voice their opinion, get their feelings out, vent out. And I think since then everybody's bought in, we've been progressing. We might have lost a game here and there but I think we've been progressing for the most part."
