Have the Celtics had a chance to reflect on their 16-game winning streak? Kyrie Irving says, "there's no time. We play every other day." Cliche as it sounds, he told me the Cs are living in the moment. "We're unwavering. That goes back to the young guys. Then you have me and Al (Horford) and Gordon (Heyward) watching. We're staying the course. It's all new, but the fact we can be present (in the moment) is a step in the right direction."

$13.2 million: Estimated value to Big Baller Brand as a result of the back and forth between LaVar Ball and Donald Trump over the UCLA basketball players release from China. The value grew another $4 million over the last 24 hours, including Trump's two tweets on the topic this morning.

After kind of sleepwalking their way through much of the first half, the Lakers came to life in the third quarter. Julius Randle provided a major spark with eight points, four rebounds and one terrific block at the rim on a Bobby Portis dunk attempt. Trailing by as much as 19, the Lakers used a 30-12 run to get within one just before the end of the quarter.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who is close with Phil Jackson, was asked about Jackson's tenure in New York. "I felt bad for the way things ended," Kerr said at Warriors practice at St. John's University today. "I think Phil did some good things here. Drafting Porzingis and hiring Jeff Hornacek. I think Ntilikina looks like a good player. It feels like they're on a good path right now. It's a hard league, man. Things really have to fall (in your favor), you have to do a good job. But you also have to get some luck. Phil knows that better than anybody. You can be really lucky and inherit Michael Jordan and you can also be unlucky and things don't go your way. It's all part of it. We're all going to have our moments in this league - ups and downs. Phil had so much success as a coach. I don't know, maybe he was due for the down part of it."

The one thing that the Nuggets don't have a shortage of players at is power forward. Including Paul Millsap, Denver entered the season with 6 PF on the roster and could even add backup center Mason Plumlee to that mix.
