Pacers' Paul George sits out vs. Nets, will miss two more games

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George sat out Friday's 118-97 win over the Brooklyn Nets and will also miss the team's next two games because of a sore left ankle, the Pacers announced.

George, a three-time All-Star forward, has dealt with the ankle injury for the past two weeks. He was sidelined for three straight games before returning for Wednesday night's 96-85 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, in which he played 38 minutes and scored 18 points on 6-of-22 shooting.

In addition to Friday's game, George will sit Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers and Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Pacers also announced that forward Kevin Seraphin, who missed Friday's game because of a sore left knee, will sit out Sunday and Wednesday.
