Utah Jazz have recalled Aussie Dante Exum, after sending him down to their D-League affiliate for some practice time on Monday.

The Jazz moved to clarify a report Exum had been demoted to the Salt Lake City Stars alongside Alec Burks and Raul Neto, the franchise confirming the trio had all been recalled to the elite squad with a statement on the franchise's website.

The Jazz made the decision to send the players down to their D-League team in order to get some playing time, or for rehabbing and practice.

Exum, who is averaging 6.3 points and 1.7 assists in 2016-17, has seen his minutes dip as the season has progressed - he missed seven games with knee tendinitis, and then coach Quinn Snyder opted not to play him in the Jazz's past two games.

The Australian was taken by the Jazz with the No.5 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
