The Charlotte Hornets beat the Magic 86-78 in Thursday's fifth-place game in the Orlando Summer League. Second-round draftee Dwayne Bacon scored 29 points and grabbed eight boards. Johnny O'Bryant added 23 points with five rebounds.
Ellenson powers Pistons over Hornets

Bacon sizzles in summer league win
The Hornets defeated the Thunder 95-81 in the Orlando Summer League on Tuesday. Hornets second-rounder Dwayne Bacon dropped 17 points and added two rebounds, two assists and three steals. Treveon Graham led all scorers with 19.

Howard: 'I have a lot left in the tank'
Dwight Howard insisted during his introductory news conference Monday he can return to being a dominant center with the Charlotte Hornets. "A lot of people have written me off, which is great because it's going to make me work even harder," Howard said. "I'm just looking forward to this opportunity because I have a lot left in the tank."
At his introductory news conference Monday, Dwight Howard said he's eager to connect with the other Superman in Charlotte, Cam Newton.
