Lakers coach Luke Walton on the team's new era: "After every dynasty ends, there's always that rebuilding process -- maybe not with the Spurs and Patriots, but with every other team that's ever played."

Baxter Holmes ESPN Staff Writer

Lakers coach Luke Walton spent the past two years as an assistant for the Golden State Warriors and said he was "surprised" by the Warriors' 29-point loss to the Spurs. "But San Antonio, there's a reason they've been that good for that long," Walton continued. "They've got the best coach in the game right now. They've got talented players. It always take a little bit of time for those ‘super teams' or whatever you call them to figure each other out and create their own identity. I was surprised, but it's one game. They're going to be fine."
