Dirk Nowitzki on Isaiah Thomas: "Incredible. He's a big-time shotmaker, but where he gets you is his drives to the basket. They spread the floor with a lot of shooters and he gets to the basket and is a crafty finisher in there. They have some athletes around him. They complement him very well. They're a good team."

Rick Carlisle on rookie Yogi Ferrell, who has averaged 15.2 points and 4.9 assists since Mavs signed him out of the D-League: "He's a professional basketball player. He's supposed to play hard and play well. … He's doing his job. His job is to play hard, make open shots, make simple plays and guard the best little guy on nights like tonight. He did some very good things, and his job is to continue to do that. I mean, if we make this out like he's doing something extra special, everyone is going to wait on him to stop doing that. This is his job. He's supposed to be doing this."

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Rick Carlisle on the Celtics: "They've got a legitimate chance to get to the Finals with that team out of the East. It's a very, very good basketball team. … Their ability to score [is elite], and they have great depth. They have a lot of guys that have gained experience. I just see them as a real threat."
