Rockets' Capela: 'We're better' than Warriors

Clint Capela did his part to add fuel to Houston's rivalry with the Warriors, saying after Saturday's 116-108 victory that the Rockets are confident they "have the weapons to beat them."

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

James Harden on Houston's hopes of catching Golden State for West's No. 1 seed: "That's what we're rooting for. It's not going to be easy. Every single game, we're going to have to take it for ourselves and not relax. It's not about who we're playing. It's about us and each and every game getting better."

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Rockets sixth man Eric Gordon on Steph Curry: "We always try to go after the weakest link, so when he's out there and they go very small, we always put him in the pick-and-roll. It was funny seeing him guard [PJ] Tucker. Then next thing you know, Tucker's starting to make big plays at the end. We always try to take advantage of that, for sure."

Rockets sixth man Eric Gordon on potentially beating the Warriors in the playoffs: "We really do have that chance. Offensively, we're just as good as them, no question. Defensively, they're a championship team. They're consistent, whether they win or lose. Us, we still have peaks and valleys. We just can't have those. That's why we've got to play well the next game, because we just have to sustain the same effort."

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

Rockets C Clint Capela on Warriors: "We're confident, because we know if we're doing what we're supposed to do, we're going to beat them. ... I think that if we're doing what we're supposed to do on defense – all the switches, the weak side – and keep playing our offense by keeping that mentality all game long, we have the weapons to beat them. We are better than them."

Tim MacMahon ESPN Staff Writer

James Harden on returning for the final 4:24 despite having already hit his restriction of 30 minutes: "That was out. That was out! Thirty minutes, man, I knew how important this game was. A couple of extra minutes wouldn't hurt. We've got an off day tomorrow, so rest my feet, get a massage, get some treatment and then I'll be ready to go Monday. "
