Warriors, come out to play

The defending NBA champs will be involved in several must-see matchups this upcoming season, including a Finals rematch with the Cavaliers on Christmas.

ESPN Stats and Information

To begin the 2018 calendar year, Golden State plays eight of its first 10 games of the road. This stretch includes two road games against the Rockets and three road games in four nights against the Bucks, Raptors and Cavaliers. According to RPM, the Warriors have the hardest schedule in the month of January (.552 opponent projected win percentage).

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

The Warriors will be on ESPN, ABC and TNT a league-high 31 times in 2017-18, representing 38% of their entire schedule. Three teams (the Hawks, Magic, and Nets) will not play a game on any of the league's national TV partners this season.

Chris Haynes ESPN Staff Writer

ESPN is told that Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr is very pleased with how the league addressed the scheduling in reducing back-to-backs, eliminating four games in five nights. He feels this is beneficial for the entire league.

Dave McMenamin ESPN Staff Writer

The timing of the Cavs' two regular season games with the Golden State Warriors mimics the last two years: Christmas Day (at GSW) and then the rematch about two weeks later (home on Jan. 15).
